British Summer is here again! 25/3/07 LEAS FLYING

Hello all my name is Ian Richardson, I go under the name of pippin on a number of forums around the net and am a life long fan of Aircraft and flight simulators especially Microsoft's FS series. I started my flight simming way back in the early 80s using the Spectrum Sinclair 48k progressing on to Microsoft's excellent series of flight simulators starting with FS95 through 98, 2000, 2002 pro, FS9 and now we have reached FSX (fs10)
My first introduction into the virtual world was with the excellent F.S Combat simulator again by Microsoft CFS1. I was joint founder of the 63rd Anson Squadron (VA) back in 2000 and we enjoyed a few good years in the gaming world. I still do a little online flying with the excellent ILStermovik flight simulator.
I am now dedicating this site to the field of R.C. Flying and in particular the field of powered Aircraft.
 I am a member of the Boldon CA flying club and a fine bunch of chaps they are. I can highly recommend to anyone starting out or thinking of starting out in this field to go along to your local club and seek expert advice. In fact I would say its an essential side to the hobby as this in the long run will save you an awful lot of wasted money and time. I am also in the Leas Flying Group which is a limited members club flying on land kindly supplied by the National Trust.
